At our 20th Anniversary Gala the Legacy Awards were presented to Founders of GRAAHI for their visionary leadership and service to GRAAHI and the community to eliminate health disparities and improve health outcomes in the African American community.

Dr. Brame has been a catalyst for racial and social justice in Grand Rapids, responsible for creating foundations of support and collaboration within the community. As Executive Director of the GR Urban League, he lead dynamic growth of the organization, grwing from a staff size of 3 to 22 and increasing the annual operating budget from less than $200,000 to over $2 million. He was instrumental in provding a foundation for the establishment of GRAAHI.
His work in Education, Ministry and Community is never-ending, even in retirement, and his legacy has impacted not only our orgnization, but students, colleagues and congregants,
Dr. Khan Nedd

A GRAAHI Board member and Medical Advisor, Dr. Nedd is a native-born islander from Grenada who founded Infusion Associates in 2001. He’s responsible for all clinical and quality activity. He’s also devoted to building a strong work community with a passion for addressing healthcare disparities, as well as extensive work on the issue of healthcare diversity through research and advocacy. Additionally, he serves as the Process Improvement Leader for several clinical trials.
