Strong Fathers

Be the Shoulder they need

Being a father is not easy. We designed this program to help you raise healthy children and get the support you need in the process.

Strong Fathers is a Strong Beginnings Fatherhood initiative open to all men with a child under the age of 2 years old. We connect you to available resources offered in Grand Rapids and surrounding communities.

The Fatherhood Coordinator or male health worker will meet with you in your home to provide support, education, and encouragement. You get support from the start of the pregnancy through the first two years of your baby's life.

Online Support

Here’s a way for fathers and men in our community to stay engaged, encouraged and informed. We know asking for help can be a difficult task, so we want to make asking and receiving help for the fathers and men in our communities easier.

MANHOOD MONDAYS is a weekly virtual (and phone) meeting for fathers and men to gather to:

1. Check in with a like minded community and Share positive news
2. Hear COVID-19 updates on Kent County Resources specifically for fathers and men
3. Ask for help for themselves, family and friends.

Get the strength you need!
