Check Your Health
Take this quick on-line assessment to find out your risks for diabetes or other health issues.
Diabetes is one of the most serious health problems that the African American community faces today. Compared to the general population, black men are more likely to develop diabetes — our mission is to change that statistic.
In 2019, we are launching a Diabetes Empowerment Network (DEN) program focused on educating men in the Kent County area about the risk factors for diabetes and other health issues that disproportionately affect black men.
Featuring educational classes, cooking classes and group meetings, the program will be a fun and supportive environment where you can learn to reduce your risk and live the sweet life, even if you already have been diagnosed with the disease.
Classes start January 2019. If you want to participate, or your organization wants to host/sponsor a DEN group, contact us and we’ll be in touch.
